From My Son's Heart

My son made this for me when he was 7 yrs old and in the second grade.  With Thanksgiving approaching I thought this would be a good time to share with my friends. :)

I am thankful for alot of things.
I am mostly thankful for life.
I'm also thankful for my parents, my pets, and other family.
I'm also thankful for not being poor or homeless.
That's what I'm thankful for.

Oh how sweet. I have kept things from my grown children too. Isn't that special that you put it up, and I bet he is rolling his eyes around at you. I love your pumpkin post. They grow up so fast. Now I show my two grandsons (8 and 6) things their dad made. It is always a hoot. Thanks for visiting me today. I will certainly be back to your blog very soon.

Children hold nothing back and speak from the heart which makes their words even more special. The little pumpkin is a wonderful memory, thanks for sharing Marie.

Good grief, what kind of a school did your son go to?? The handwriting is like from an adult, did he write that? Even my handwriting is a mess compared to this. We didn't even learn how to write in cursive till the third grade. He must have been an excellent student.

Thank you. He did write this. He learned cursive in first grade. His first grade teacher told me that he had beautiful handwriting and I just laughed. And she told me that when he gets older that I would really appreciate it...she's right. :)
