Mama Mallard

We caught Mama Mallard taking a short break from her eggs to have a drink and a bath.  We got so tickled watching her splish and splash about in her little ducky tub.  She only took about a ten minute break and back to her eggs she went.  She's one dedicated gal!
It doesn't take much to entertain us. :)

She loves to sing in the rain.
We are spraying water on her. :)

Break time is over...

Can you see her?

I love it... As to entertainment, we spend many hours watching our neighbors baby goats from our front porch..... and find it more entertaining than most of the junk on TV these days. :)

Oh Marie, I love it that you put out a pool for Mama duck. It looks like she really enjoys her break time. But being a devoted mom she doesn't stay too long. I'm looking forward to seeing her little ones.

Geese, ya provided her with her own water-park!!! What fun to watch her brood hatch!

She thinks she's in the resort glades there!

God bless ya and have an amazin' day!!! :o)

I've always been easily entertained.
I would be watching this constantly to see if anything changed :)

That is true about the birds. The red vented bubul that made a nest in our place used to go for short breaks giving me just enough time to click the eggs.

That is so cool to see. Looks like you are doing a great job, Marie.
Can't wait to see the baby chicks. She is lucky to have you as a Guardian Angel. :)
