Do You Jack O' Lantern?

Hubby and I went to Lowe's, at the entrance they have these pumpkins and cute Halloween decorations.  It got us thinking about carving a pumpkin.  We decided that hubby and son will each get a pumpkin to carve.:)
One year my dad carved out an American flag and someone stole it off my brick wall in the front yard.  It was really cool, I'm guessing someone else thought the same!  When I was growing up we never missed carving a pumpkin and the tradition has carried on. :)

So, do you Jack O' Lantern???

These photos were taken with my cell phone.
I told hubby that we needed to run home and get a camera
and he reminded me that I could just use my cell phone camera...blonde moment!  LOL

Look at all those pumpkins!! We haven't carved a pumpkin in years since the kids grew up but what memories it brings back with days long gone of scooping out pumpkin "guts" and carving pumpkins for Halloween. Enjoy!

Those are great cell phone photos! (mine doesn't take great photos, just little bitty, crappy ones)

When my kids were young, we carved some and painted some and my youngest Son (32) still does. He loves Halloween!

It's been many years since I've carved a pumpkin but it always was such fun and an anticipated part of the fall season. Love your photos. Wishing you a delightful day.

We don't have a pumpkin yet - but we'll pick one up soon I'm sure. That is SO SAD that someone stole your Dad's pumpkin!!

When the kids were small we did make jack-o-lanterns. That was a long time ago. ;-)

mother used to carve them, she wanted the pumpkin to make pies, she always had a big one on the front porch with a candle in it. i carved one when my kids were little and thought it was way to much work so never did another one. i like the big smiley one on the very top in your pics. your phone did a great job. a beautiful display.

I love the pumpkin display! Fall is a wonderful time of year. I usually have a fall display with pumpkins in it, but I don't carve them anymore. I hope you show us your carved pumpkins! Take care.

Wow Marie

That certainly is some display.

It looks beautiful.

I would love to visit there.

We don't have pumpkin displays as such here in Ireland but can buy them at halloween in the supermarkets but there never seems to be anything much done with them which is a pity.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

It is amazing the photos one can take with their phones these days! This is a lovely display. A lot of people are carving pumpkins and adding a nice assortment of flowers inside of them. There are so many things you can do with them. :)
I use to when the kids were small but not so much anymore. I would if I had more time. :)
