Afternoon at the Park with My Son Part 3

Hi friends!  I have been really busy with life. :)  I will be catching up with everyone's blog soon!
We will be soon getting our Christmas decorations up.  We have neighbors that already have pretty lights on their houses.  I do love the lights and beautiful Christmas music.
I'm posting a few more pics from our visit to the park.  My son and I both enjoy the outdoors and animals, but I'm not into camping....go figure. :)

We got a great surprise when we looked up and her came three Sandhill Cranes!
I just caught them landing!

I wish I could have gotten better pics of these beautiful birds.  The camera I was using is 5 MP and 12 optical.
It was a cloudy day so, I was at the mercy of nature.  :)

I like my camping as day trips, just like what you did here, fun in the preserves and woods, and my own bed at night. the cranes are amazing birds. i like the flower in the marsh. beautiful.

These are lovely pictures, they bespeak peace, stillness, and calm. the big birds are so cool. Are they storks or what?

I'm like you. I love the outdoors and nature but not camping. Now if you could throw in all the modern conveniences I might be able to camp...lol I think sleeping on the ground these days would kill me though

Those are still great pictures, Marie! Especially with the cranes landing! It is neat that you and your son enjoy the outdoors so you can share time together exploring it!!

As much as hubby and I love being outdoors (hiking, traveling, etc.)---our idea of 'camping' is a Holiday Inn Express... ha ha

Love Sandhill Cranes. One of my sons lives in Galveston, TX --and the cranes 'winter' down there. He has sent pictures of them to me... Gorgeous.

We're trying to get our decorations up also.... Little by Little... ha

Hugs,
Betsy

I'm not much of a camper, I like my bed at night! Lovely shots, I really love that last one of the crane.
Don't worry about blogging, we all have to take some days off now and then. It's a busy time of year!
Take care and have fun decorating!

Marie,
The photos of the sandcranes are beautiful. I enjoyed your lovely photos very much. I'm sure your son had a great time at the park.
I'm working on decorating my house for Christmas. It's a big job, but I like it a lot.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate very much your comment.

I used to do a lot of backpacking and tent camping but these days I do my camping in an RV with all the comforts of home. Seeing the Sandhill Cranes would be exciting. They are in our area but I haven't seen any yet.
