2014 A Very Eventful Year For Our Family

We will always remember 2014!  My baby boy graduated high school!  He graduated with a university ready diploma, two years of sign language and even with a plumbing tech degree.  I've always told him don't go with easy, go with smart, at least he listens part of the time. :)  We are so proud of him!
In the spring we moved from Orlando, home, to Cary, NC.  It has turned out to be a wonderful decision!  We live closer to family, Kyle has already made some real friends and hubby and I just love this City!  Our pups love their new home and are enjoying the cooler weather, larger yard and new smells!  Every time my parents visit they tell me how much they love it here!  I'm sure they will be moving up here soon and live close by.
In the summer, Kyle turned 18!  Where has the time gone?!  I still remember hearing "Mommy" about 100 times a day and loving it!  I remember those little arms that wrapped around my neck so tightly with many hugs every day.  Do you know that he still tells me goodnight every night with a hug and a kiss on my forehead, he's my sweet boy. :)
Hubby started his career with the State of NC and really likes it!
In the fall Kyle started college!
I had a scare with my health, but I'm here and very grateful!
We're all grateful for our many blessings!

How about you, was 2014 a memorable year for you and your family?  I hope you have many fond memories. :)
Class of 2014 Rocks!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

It's feeling like Christmas in our home! All three trees are up, our family tree, my little tree in the dining room and the pups have their own little tree this year. :)
There is a house on the corner of our street that has their lights set to music on the radio.  It's really neat to watch.  Kyle would have loved this as a young child!  We see many families with their little ones and their pups walking into the neighborhood to enjoy the show.  Every time we're coming home we tune into their station and enjoy the show. :)

We bought a real tree this year since it's our first Christmas here in Cary. :)

This is one of my favorites.  My parents bought this ornament for Kyle's first Christmas since I have done wildlife rescue and I had a pet squirrel when he was born.

This was a gift from a favorite teacher. :)

Kyle gave me this ornament, so cute!

I think it came out really pretty!
Thanks to hubby and son for putting the lights on, I have no patience for lights. lol

Our First Christmas in Cary

We all agreed on a real tree for our first Christmas in Cary.  Hubby and son trimmed the trunk and got it in the stand and I did a lot of vacuuming. :)
Note to self, turn off t.v. when son needs to focus. lol

The tree is now decorated and I'll share those pics later. :)
Enjoy your last month of 2014!

Can you see that he's not focused on the tree?
There must be cars on t.v.. lol

Now, I just need to water it everyday!

Back to the t.v.. lol

This is Cary's downtown theater.  It's so cute!
We haven't been there yet, but we will. :)
sorry about the reflection!

This pic was taken about a week ago, not sure if these beautiful leaves are still hanging on. :)

Hope It Was Wonderful

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!  We ate too much and laughed a lot!

We went Christmas tree shopping last night and found a pretty Fraser Fir.  Tonight will consist of baking cookies and decorating the tree. :)

Blue Birds Looking For A Home

I've been taking a lot of pics with my new camera.  Now I have three, my Nikon Coolpix which is a very handy size, will fit right into my pocket, and takes great pics.  A Canon Powershot that is now working when it wants to, so it's not very dependable, but a great camera.  And my new camera is a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS.  I love it!  Sandra at MadSnapper knew I needed a new camera and she told me about this one.  She knows how much I like to photograph wildlife and this has a super lens for it!  Thanks for the recommendation, Sandra, you're an awesome friend!
I used my new camera to take these pics of the Blue Birds.  I know the color is off, but I was just so thrilled to see them!  I started snapping crazy fast and there was no time to adjust the color! lol  I was actually inside drinking coffee and working on my ebay when I saw these pretties flying about.  So, all of these were taken from inside looking out into my backyard.  These are some of the prettiest birds I've ever seen and they are fast!  Looks like they're checking to see if this house is available. :)

Is it vacant??

I'll be back!

Leaves on Fire

Thought I would share some of our fall beauty with you.  The colors around here are so pretty!  Don't the leaves look like they're on fire?!  Just gorgeous!  Hope you're enjoying your fall!  I just love this time of year.:)
Happy days to you all!

hugs!

November is Here

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!  We had so many trick-or-treaters!  Everyone loved Kyle's jack-o-lantern!  He carved out a scary clown, at least scary to me.  lol  He also dressed up as a spy and passed out candy to the kids.  We had a steady stream of kids for two hours, it was a fun night!
I can't believe it's November already!  The high today is only 52F!  In Orlando it was usually hot on Halloween.  I must say we're really enjoying the seasons here.  Hope you're enjoying your weather and happy November!

Kyle looked up a picture of a clown
and then drew it directly on the pumpkin on with a pencil and carved it.  Scary to me!

the blue lights are actually black lights, it was pretty cool.
the jack-o-lantern at the bottom of the porch was a cute one :)

My son, the spy.

Our First Fall In Cary

The weather here in Cary is beautiful!  The leaves are just starting to turn and it gets more beautiful day by day.
We will be decorating the house for Halloween today or tomorrow.  We will be handing out candy since we're in a neighborhood full of kids. :)  I'll make sure to get candy that we all like, since we eat about half of it. lol!

Happy 85th Birthday!

Today is my Grandmother's 85th birthday!  I love and respect this lady so much!  She will be visiting us in a few weeks and we'll have a big celebration just for her. :)
Happy Birthday, Grandma!  I love you so much!

My Grandmother loves all animals.
She has made regular donations to WWF for as long as I can remember. :)

Our Cat

Our Fox turned two in May.  He has turned into one big, handsome cat!  Everyone laughs because he will let me, and only me, cradle him like a baby and rub his tummy. lol  He loves it and it just about puts him to sleep.
Now that we live in a two story house he and the pups have a lot of fun playing chase!  It's quite entertaining!

These pics were taken with my cell phone so they may be a little fuzzy.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Dogs In Cars

Here in Cary, we see puppy dogs everywhere!  I see a lot of dog stickers on cars and a lot of pups in the front seat of cars. :)
When we saw this black beauty I started snapping with my cell phone.  She/he seemed to really enjoy this convertible Cadillac.  I'm not into convertibles, but this had me thinking about a jeep. :)  I think our pups would love it!
If you have a puppy dog, do you take them for car rides?  Do they behave well?  Would you or do you trust them in a convertible??

I told hubby to follow that car! lol

I think she/he spotted me snapping away with my phone.

College Boy!

It's been a very emotional and wonderful few months.  We moved to NC, son graduated high school, son turns 18 and today he started college!  Kyle is in the pre-engineering program at the local tech community college.  He left for class today with a big smile.  We are so proud of you, Kyle!
