Florida's Crazy Weather

Here in Orlando it's normal to be wearing shorts & flip flops one day and a coat the next day. lol  And that's exactly what's going on here this week!  We hit 80 degrees one day and the next couple of days we were in the 40's.  I don't mind the 40's as long as the sun is shining. :)

This is what I enjoy about the cooler weather. Nothing like getting cozy by the fire.  My son is the best at getting a good fire started, he laughs at mine.:)

Hope everyone is staying warm & safe!

Our home in NC must have a fireplace.
All of us had it on our must have list. :)

good job on that beautiful fire and where you are going there will not be shorts one day and boots the next, and you will need that fireplace for snow and ice....

i build a GREAT fire, too. we have a free-standing fireplace (aka round metal w/ a glass door and a fan to help push out the heat).

Weird weather here too. We were suppose to have rain last night but the temps were low enough that it turned to ice and snow. Now it has warmed up and everything has melted.

I love fireplaces and that was on our "must have" list too when we bought this house. I'm the one who builds fires in this family, hubby is great at creating smoke. LOL!

I wish we had a fire place. the house I grew up in had one and I always loved it.

We've had some freaky weather, too and I've been freezing my butt off! It's finally warming up some and I'm so glad, although now we will be having rain. Booooo!

Have you been keeping up with NC weather??? They've had snow!

Absolutely you need a wood-burning fireplace when you get to NC. Fireplaces were always at the top of my list!!!!!

This has been a crazy winter so far. It finally began to warm up a little today. YEAH…

Hugs,
Betsy

Nice fire pictures! I agree with you about having a fireplace. Always like to sit in front of one when we had them!

I LOVE our fireplace (it certainly kept us going through the cold temps and power outage) and, thankfully, we're all pretty good at starting and maintaining a fire. Ours has been going since Friday night/Saturday morning.

The past 2 nights we could have used our woodstove from Nebraska, it's got down in the 60's Plenty cool for here!!

We have a fireplace here also. But, for the last decade we have only used it once. I agree, there is nothing more relaxing and cozy as a fire to warm our hearts.

Oh yes, I'd love to read about the games you play!!

Now that is a great looking fire! It is sure nice to have when the temps drop. We used to have a woodstove in our former house and really miss it when it gets so bitterly cold like it was a few days ago.

I love a nice fire in the fireplace too. Praying that you find just the right house!

It's raining and humid here- 73! A few days ago we were in the 20's. The pups will not be enjoying their naps by the fire this evening. :)

Now that is one awesome warm fire, nothing like a real log fire, the smell and the sound of the crackling.. I do miss that but do not miss the mess. Next best thing is a gas fire.

WOW, 40's in FL, now that is different.

HOPE you have a blessed weekend.
