Winter In Florida

We've finally had winter here in Florida.  Our average temp has been about 45 degrees and most days have been sunny here in Orlando and I'm enjoying it.  The pups love the cooler weather.  And as you can see in these pics, the young squirrels are enjoying our Morning Glories and I don't mind sharing. :)  I was watching this little boy out my kitchen window one cold morning..so sweet!

Hope everyone is staying warm and safe!

Hi Cutie, You all have had some unusually cool weather for Florida this year, haven't you? Guess the 'snow birds' who go there for the heat are disappointed this year... ha

We have had a terribly cold January for us.. Hope Feb. is nicer to us...

When is the big move?
Hugs,
Betsy

Have you gotten the carriers ready so you can take Momma and the kids with you? LOL! You're going to miss them if you don't!

It's been cold here! I thought I was going to have to come to Florida to warm up. We're finally warming up and I'm beginning to thaw out. My poor old body just aches from the cold.

Thank you for sharing this sweet little rascal. He looks like he is enjoying your Morning Glories with great relish. Great shots! We have just had a wonderful holiday in Florida, having gone down to the Keys to take a look around and also the Everglades. We have seen all kinds of weather from icy pellets hitting the windscreen when we reached Destin, to rain, to heat and humidity. Now we are making our way back home.

Fur birds...we have them, too, of course, here in Texas...yep, winter is here as well.

That is one cute squirrel with the morning glory.
I hope by the time you move to NC
our weather is turning to spring.
That will give you a gradual
ease into NC summer before you have a real winter. It has been very cold this year.
Hugs Madi and mom

Oh how cute! I didn't know squirrels liked Morning Glories but that little guy sure does.

45 would be heavenly right now to us, our low tonight is suppose to be about 7 degrees.

I used to love squirrels until they invaded our old house....about 1:00 in the morning...running through the walls...inside the wall next to my bed...scratching to get out...I knew for sure during the night it would break through the dry wall and land on my face...The husband said...Your crazy go back to sleep....I haven't been a fan of squirrels since then...When we finally sold the house one appeared at the house closing asking for his share of the proceeds.

Love the little squirrel. I found a skinny almost dead baby squirrel years ago. Picked him up, fed and took care of his and called him nutmeg. As he got older he became possessive of me. If he was out of his cage and my now ex or anyone else would come near me, he would jump on them and run circles like he was running around a tree trunk. His final stop would be on top of their head where he would pee on them. It was hilarious.

As I've watched weather maps this winter, I've realized that only here in Cali and there in Florida, has it been a mild one. One of our mildest in recent years. I think we've had about a week of winter, and most of my midwest or northern friends would laugh at that word :) I hope that you and your family are doing well.
Blessings,
Marcia

Hi Marie, It is always nice to see your cute squirrels. You will miss them when you move, but I am sure there will be other squirrels who will find you, and love you. Maybe word is out and your momma squirrel, and family are all packed up ready to catch a ride to your new home. Ha!
I just stopped by for a visit, and will do a bit of reading and a little catch up while I am here.
Our high for the day is 19F. 45F sounds like Spring weather which we have not gotten as of yet. It has been a long hard winter with lots of snow and below tempitures here. I do understand that that is cool for your part of the Globe. Ha! Hope it warms up for all of us soon.
Thanks for stopping by just now. It is always nice seeing you Sweet Marie.
God Bless. Love and Hugs, Dianne:)

Just stopping by to visit the squirrel and see how your house hunting is going. Hope all is well. I'm having computer problems and not posting much until I get it fixed but still around.

ps...you asked about the trumpet vine on the fence I posted about yesterday ---the plant has little suckers on them [like suction cups] that attach to just about anything.
