Bare Beauty

It's a different kind of winter here in Cary, it's cold!  In Orlando 55 degrees was freezing to us, but here 55 degrees with the sunshine is a perfect day.  I wish it was going to be 55 today or even 45, not happening.  It was 12 degrees at 6:30 this morning and now it's a sunny 18 degrees!

These trees make me think of my son.  When Kyle was young and wanted a toy or something I would remind him that having fun and nice things is fine, but if one day you no longer have things make sure You're a good and kind person because that's all that really matters.  These trees are mostly bare, but yet are still beautiful.

Around the corner from our home,  yep that's 5 o'clock traffic
and that's a pretty tree I look at just about every time I leave home. :)

they are beautiful. :) a blogger pal once said that winter is the season when trees write upon the sky (sort of a paraphrase of a famous quote, i think).

we were 18F in texas this morning. now mid-20s. come on sun!

Pretty pics! You want cold? Come up here where it was 0 this morning, with a wind chill of -14. I miss living in the Pacific NW so much.

I appreciate your lesson today - it is very true what you say.

Well are you a native from Florida? Have you ever seen snow or cold before? You have a treat.

I love these different kinds of trees! The tall straight ones, then the beautiful one spreading it's branches. And then the one in between! We had no snow but it is 7 degrees!! What a good lesson you taught.

I love those big tall trees reaching for the blue sky. I definitely agree that the bare branches are still beautiful.

Your temps sound like what we had last week. Now we have warmed up to the thirties. Maybe in the forties next week.

I think there is a certain beauty about bare trees, especially against a pretty sky or in the fading sunsets. Great post!

Lovely pictures. Yes, we need to learn to enjoy the happiness from simple things GOD given us through nature :)

Looking for the sun here..I do not like icy rain- boo! These are lovely shots- I think naked trees are so pretty in the winter..especially against a brilliant blue sky. Have a lovely Sunday.
