The Birds are Singing

We're having beautiful weather and beautiful visitors!  I've seen so many birds here that I had only seen in books or online before.  I awake to their singing everyday since we have trees just outside our bedroom windows and we're upstairs.
I hope everyone is finally getting a taste of beautiful spring weather. :)

This is a Ceder Waxwing.  I am fascinated by this birds beauty.
Even with a mask it's just beautiful to me.  Looks like velvet.

Seems to love the berries.

I had only seen the male Purple Finch once before this visit.
I hope this couple makes a home in our yard.

I can see why my Grandmother has always loved the Blue Birds.
They scream sweetness, don't they.

This Cedar Waxwing brought friends, but they were so high in the trees
and so quick that I couldn't get them all.

                                       I now know this is a yellow-rumped warbler....thank you, TexWisGirl. :)
These birds love the suet!  They even come to eat when the dogs are out playing. :)

I posted this little guy before.  I now know that he is a Pine Warbler. :)

They are all colorful and I like how you know the names of them, Marie! I see the birds at our feeders and I'm clueless what they are (need to get a book LOL). Always nice to have visitors like the ones you are getting! I'm sure they never out stay their welcome :)

The view from your room is like living in a tree house. Beautiful birds and I know you enjoy their sweet birdsong. The Cedar Waxwings are among the prettiest. Have a great day.

I've always loved the sweet little bluebirds. The cedar waxwings come through in the spring and in one day eat all the leftover cranberries from our high bush cranberries. They swoop in, eat, and move on.

The bluebird is so cute! And the Waxwings, they are so impressive! I have seen them squishing and eating so many berries that they got drunk. I call them bandit birds because of their masks.

jealous you get the cedar waxwings! they used to nest in wisconsin and i'd hang pieces of yard on our clotheslines so they could take them for their nests. :)

i think that one is a yellow-rumped warbler. they have those little patches of yellow on the sides, too.

First of all those were beautiful photos - and from your room?

What kind of camera do you have?

Love all your birds. You have quite a variety. Not very spring like here. It was snowing again this morning

I have a lot of bird watching friends and I'm amazed at how many different kinds of birds there are. The spring birds sure are noisy at 6 AM though. That's when I have to pop in the earplugs.

The bluebirds are my favorite birds, but I'd love to see a Cedar Waxwing in my yard. They are so pretty! You've gotten some great captures, Marie!

You do have some great birds, don't you? I love my Backyard Birds --and get excited when I see a new one at the feeders...

I first saw Cedar Waxwings when we were hiking near a waterfall... There were lots of them up in the trees around the falls. I was looking at them more than I was looking at the waterfall. ha ha

Happy Easter.
Hugs,
Betsy
