Shake It Off

It's very rare that a Mocking bird hangs out long enough for me to snap a pic.  This time I gotcha ya!
I've seen Mocking birds fighting off Hawks, they're some brave birds.  I guess I can relate because I'm a mom and would always fight off predators to protect my young. :)

We've had family visiting from out of state, birthdays and life stuff going on.
Hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week.  We will be eating Turkey as always.  Do you eat turkey or have a different tradition??

Shake it off. lol

Love it! We're turkey eaters, but I wouldn't mind in the least if we dropped the bird in favor of steak. :)

We had so many mockingbirds at our last house. They were fun to watch/listen to.

Wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving.

Ha! I LOVE THAT FIRST SHOT and your caption! Great set!

We do turkey, but I'd prefer chicken, if I made the choice.

neat pictures of the mockingbird.
We eat turkey but it's just me, my husband and this year probably just my daughter. Sometimes it seems like kind of a waste to do all that cooking for so few people

Neat photos of the mocker, Marie... I don't have many of them around here. Don't know why because they are definitely in our area...

Turkey for us for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's our tradition.

Hugs,
Betsy

I love the mockingbirds! You've got some really nice captures. We'll be eating turkey but I'm not cooking it. Since we'll be going to Branson again this year, I buy the grocery store dinner which includes the turkey. We have it again at Christmas, too. Yum, yum. Don't you just love turkey dinners?

Oh, I love that shake. We don't have mockingbirds in this area and I kind of miss them. No blue jays either, just Magpies.

It's only going to be the two of us for Thanksgiving this year and hubby doesn't care for turkey. I might do a turkey breast and a small ham so we can munch on both the following week.

Great pictures of the mockingbird, Marie! Neat with all the celebrating and company; enjoy!! We usually have turkey, sometimes we've broken from tradition and had something else, but usually we stick with turkey :)

Great photos of the Mockingbird. I admire them for their feisty nature when protecting young. Mums all across the species can relate. I can't believe it's Thanksgiving next week, but we will be spending it at my in-laws. They always cook a turkey and as there is a crowd I am also taking up a honey-baked ham and a few other things. One of my sister-in-law's is taking shrimp and others will be bringing dishes also.

They are mean birds.. We had a nest in our back yard once, and our poor dog could not go out to do his business without getting an air assault, and no one could go out back. The mom and dad would sit on opposing roof tops just daring some one to get near the nest.. ugggg
