Here in Cary, we see puppy dogs everywhere! I see a lot of dog stickers on cars and a lot of pups in the front seat of cars. :)
When we saw this black beauty I started snapping with my cell phone. She/he seemed to really enjoy this convertible Cadillac. I'm not into convertibles, but this had me thinking about a jeep. :) I think our pups would love it!
If you have a puppy dog, do you take them for car rides? Do they behave well? Would you or do you trust them in a convertible??

I told hubby to follow that car! lol |
I think she/he spotted me snapping away with my phone. |

And let's not forget that the dog matches the car! Here, there is a little tiny yorkie, Harley. He and his biker owner ride around town in matching Harley leather jackets and Harley sits on his owner's shoulders. I should re-post it!
he is a beauty, or maybe she is a beauty and dogs do love to ride. ours only ride to the vets.. we can't afford to take them for a ride just to ride and they can't stay in the car when we are shopping, cars are death to dogs in Florida... I would have the dog tethered so they could not jump out... but we saw a dog jump out that was tied and was hanging there. dogs should not ride loose in the back of trucks either. not only dangerous but they can really get to hot...dogs have no sweat glands and easily get overheated in hot sun.
I agree with you Sandra. We never take our pups anywhere that we would have to leave them in the car. I have called 911 a few times after seeing pups left in cars.
Every once in awhile we do load up our pups to take them on a drive so they can stick their heads out the windows and feel the wind in their hair and hang their tongues out. lol
I'm not a fan of convertibles, for humans, or animals. I prefer a little more metal between me and the road. I AM a fan of people including their dogs in their life and not just paying attention to them when the mood strikes.
We took our dogs with us whenever it was possible, although we did have to deal with one that got carsick on a regular basis. They were usually better behaved than the kids were!
I love seeing the pure joy on a dog's face when they stick their heads of the car window and enjoy the wind on their face :)
such a beauty! i take mine in the truck - back seat - never the bed. no, i don't trust them as they're not used to it - only vet trips. :)
What a beauty! We do take ours for rides (IN the car) and they are fairly well behaved, not so much that I'd want to take them along in a convertible however.
We don't have a dog right now, but we never really took our dogs on rides when we did have them. Once in a while down the road to visit a neighbor, but that was it.
Beautiful dog and looks well behaved in the convertible.
Harriet no longer enjoys car rides but she once loved to ride with the window cracked, smelling the smells!
I am not sure I would or could trust Disco - when we pull in the neighborhood after I take Andy to school - I roll down the window in the neighborhood - and he has the time of his life smelling!
When I lived in California I saw a dog riding in a convertible wearing sunglasses. I think the only thing that would have made him happier was if he was driving. :)

Cute dog; well behaved too! We take Koda for car rides, but he's either in my lap or in the passenger seat and the windows are not rolled down. I fear he would try to get out of the window if we did :)
He's not too bad in the car, but used to bark at garage trucks and motorcycles. Now that he's blind, he doesn't see them so its a lot quieter rides :)

LOL about Laura's comment re the dog with sunglasses.
That dog looks very well behaved and seems to be enjoying the ride. No dogs at our house and the cats hate car rides since they know it means a vet visit. They are very vocal in their carriers. I did have a cat years ago when I lived in Georgia that liked to go for rides with me in my pickup. She would ride on my shoulder and would behave perfectly. We got lots of stares and waves.
Oh what a great photo!!! Every puppy needs a car to match its furrs.
I think the pup was posing for you.
Hugs madi and mom your bfff
The problem with my black lab is he'd want to drive the thing That was too cute. I put some pictures of him on our 4 hour commute to work once a week on a separate blog from mine just for folks that enjoyed seeing the dog photos.

It's quite work safe, except for dog hair. - Brigid
I don't have a dog now but would not feel comfortable unless secured. I saw a beautiful Dalmatian jump out of a window at a traffic light once. Traffic was heavy but fortunately the driver was able to catch him unharmed.
Oh --you hit my 'spot' --when you started talking about JEEPS. I have always wanted a jeep when we drive way back in the mountains --like we do a lot... But--our Prius does great --so we won't buy another car (or jeep). BUT--I'd still love one!!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh yes! We do take our pups for rides and they totally dig it whether it be in the Camry or the SUV. The male loves riding shotgun in the front seat. He always looks so proud of himself and makes us guffaw out loud. LOL
