First Day of February

My first day of February started off with spring like weather.  I sat outside watching my pups play while I enjoyed a glass of sweet iced tea and the birds were singing.  I wish it were the weekend and everyone was home to enjoy a cookout.  Hopefully the perfect weather will carry on through the weekend.  Hope you enjoyed a pretty first day of February.

I'll share a few photos that I took while enjoying today's weather.  In the first photo Rocket is peeking at me. :)

I've been working all day so I didn't get to enjoy the weather but hopefully I will get out some tomorrow.

Looked like a great way to spend the "spring like" day! I too hope it stays through the weekend so all can enjoy it together.

I didn't get your email about the pressure cooker. Can you resend it to lv2trnscrb@aol.com???

Thanks!!!

I love how you got the squirrel's tail to GLOW. It is so pretty! And the bird, yellow rumped warbler? Maybe not, the warblers are all so confusing. what a lovely day you had. And you always appreciate the small things that bring joy.

I have the image in my head of you sitting at the table taking sips of sweet tea and watching the squirrels and birds and enjoying the weather. To me that is a perfect day

We woke up to a fresh coating of snow yesterday....but the temps went up to 40 so a lot of it is gone already. The groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter.

Amazing what a mild winter we are having.... We have had very little really cold weather. Scares me for two reasons: 1. the cold weather kills all of those nasty bugs/insects that try to eat us up (and our flowers/plants) in Spring and Summer; and 2. IF the early spring flowers grow and come in TOO soon--a very cold early April could kill them all. (we had that happen in 2007 --when a freeze killed all of the spring flowers... It was HORRIBLE.) BUT--we are just dealing with Mother Nature --and there's not much we can do about it!!!!!

Enjoy our iced tea. Love your birdie pictures.

Hugs,
Betsy

That is my kind of day...sipping tea while watching the birds and other wildlife in the back. Can't wait until it's a bit warmer so I can do that very thing! Have a nice day and weekend, Marie!

I enjoyed these pretty photos. We had nice weather over the last couple of days but it turned downright chilly today and we even saw some snowflakes which didn't hang around. Just as well as we were driving home. Have a great weekend :)
