Happy Birthday!

Today I'm 44 years young!  Woo Hoo!  I will be spending the day with my two favorite guys.  Later in the evening we will be with family and pigging out on pizza & hot wings!  Hopefully there will be a chocolate cake...yum!

Happy Birthday to Andy, Chatty Crone's GS!
We share the same birthday!

Happy Friday to all my friends in blog land!  I'll catch up soon!
Enjoy some more pics of Mama Mallard and her babies. :)

Good Mama.

Mom, you're embarrassing us! lol

I love this...

Have a Ducky Day!

This is our Mama Mallard.  She decided to build a nest and lay her eggs in our front yard flowerbed.  We've only seen her off the nest once in the past five days.  We are only four houses and a street from the lake.  I guess there is less competition for nesting in my yard. :)  I will keep all of you updated.  Until then, have a ducky day!

We were spraying her with the hose. LOL

Isn't she pretty!

A Visit From The Mallards

When I opened my front door this morning I was greeted by two Mallards.  There is a small lake about four houses down from mine, so I guess they're just taking a stroll through the neighborhood.  Or maybe word got out that there's always food out at our house for the squirrels and birds.  They did seem to enjoy the bread I tossed to them.

Can you believe March is almost over?  Time is really passing by quickly!  Hope everyone is enjoying Spring!

Such a cute pair!

He seemed very protective over her...so sweet.

The squirrel was checking to see if he was missing out on anything good.

It's All In The Wings

My son and I went to a local park to hang out together.  There were a couple of guys down by the water that started feeding the birds.  It was some good timing for us.  Birds can be very graceful and entertaining.
Ducks are always entertaining!
On July 4th 2009 I rescued two Mallard ducklings from a storm drain.  It had been raining
and Mama Duck crossed the street with her babies and two slipped  in the drain.
Some neibhbors asked me to help.  After finally scooping them to safety
I returned them to back to Mama Duck.
The reunion was so wonderful!

I think the seagull at the top of this pic is so beautiful and graceful.

Hubby thought this pic was awesome!
