What is It?!

At first glance I thought it was a Salamander.  I first grabbed the camera and research came later.  According to this website, http://www.wildflorida.com/wildlife/lizards/Broad-headed_Skink.php, it's a Broadheaded Skink.  I had never heard of these, but hubby has seen some with blue tails during his childhood in Pensacola, FL.   
He is a handsome little fellow.   
I wonder if Sandra, my fellow Floridian blogger, has seen any??  

A Florida Gate

Hubby and I were recently visiting the area where I grew up.  The lake that I grew up on is still the quietest in the area.  It's still beautiful and peaceful for the most part, but now there's a Publix five minutes away instead of twenty. lol
The pics of the deer didn't come out very well, but I couldn't resist showing you their sweetness.  
We saw this gate that caught my eye.  I really liked it!  I thought of Theresa, TexWisGirl, immediately!  She always has pics of such cool and interesting gates in Texas.  
This gate is for you, Theresa! :)

A Dog's Life

Here's Rambo and Rocket soaking up the Florida sun and waiting to eat, waiting for a walk, waiting for a tummy rub or for some squirrels to play a friendly game of Chase.:)  What a life...a dog's life that is!

We love our pups!  They Rock! :)

Happy Birthday Roxanne Love!

Today our sweet Roxanne is 8 years young!  She is extra happy today because she knows it's her day!  Kyle was singing to her before he left for school this morning, she loves it!  She will be having cake later today with her siblings. :)
