Top Notch Cuteness

Hubby & I watched "Super Squirrel" on National
Geographic channel a couple of nights ago.  It was so funny!
God gave these little rascals some serious talents and built in tools.
If you get the chance to watch it I highly recommend it. :)

Sharing all this cuteness with my friends.
Happy weekend!

this is a youngster and must be hungry to be so far from a tree.

this one is building a  nest.
he or she took a break on this branch and then jumped
to a large pine tree and straight to the top this cutie went.

my grandmother loves blue birds.
I love my grandma. :)

Love to hear our Carolina Wrenns sing.
Most of the time it's the first bird I hear in the morning
and the Cardinals are usually  the last bird I hear in the evening.

May Blooms

My azaleas are gone, they just don't last long enough.  The good news is, I have new blooms and new babies all around. :)  Baby birds and squirrels are really enjoying our yard.  We see cottontails late at night too, so cute!
Any new babies or blooms in your yard??

MOORE SQUARE PARK

A lot of weekends we are out and about learning more about the area we live in.  Living in Cary makes it very convenient to visit Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, and Raleigh.
I had seen a picture of a huge acorn statue that was in a park in Raleigh and I needed to see it in person! It just looked so cool and since I love squirrels, it goes hand in hand! lol  The statue stays in Moore Square which is located in the historic district of downtown Raleigh.  So, off we went and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day, sunny and 80 degrees...Beautiful!

If you would like to know more about the acorn statue visit here  Acorn Statue

Hope everyone has a fabulous Saturday!
The Acorn is 10 ft tall by 8 ft in diameter!

Pretty park!  Great for all ages.

Cute Critters

These beauties visit our backyard regularly and we love it!  We believe in "Live & Let Live".  They're all so beautiful and entertaining!  I'll probably go shopping for a bird bath or two soon so I can encourage more visitors, including bees.  As far as squirrels, I make sure to feed them away from the house and I don't feed them too much, I don't want them to become dependent on us. :)  I do have a feeder for them to reach and two other feeders that are just for the birds.  We have rabbits that live in our front yard so we're careful to not blow all the leaves away or clean up too well. lol
We're also trying to be careful when treating our yard for fleas, weeds, etc..  We use soap & water or vinegar as much as possible.  Vinegar is a favorite for me when cleaning inside, but I prefer the smell of lemons.

Any of you have cleaning advice to share?  I would love to hear it. :)

 Tufted Titmouse
This is my first time seeing them in person!  So cute!

He found a treat!

Love watching Robins..

This little guy is extra special to me.
He is the squirrel that welcomed us here when we first moved in.
He was quite young and brave.  Not everyone is kind to furry visitors.
He is the only one that will walk up to the sliding glass doors and say hi to our pups. :)

I hope to have a family of Blue Birds in our backyard this spring.
