Aren't they beautiful? I have not yet gotten a blue jay picture this good and close up. BUT they are awful bullies, I have seen one pull a worm right out of another bird's beak!!!
He is a very handsome fellow. I really miss seeing Blue Jays, there are none in our area. In Vancouver we had one who would come to our patio door and ask for peanuts. She would take them out of my hand.
You captured this sweet bird so well, look at that expression.
We raised several, the kids in the neighborhood would find baby birds and bring them to mom. She would have us find bugs, wild strawberries and worms and feed them. Once raised, they would fly around outside during the day then come in the house to sleep in my room. Love the Jay!
