Lunch Anyone?

This beautiful Cardinal was doing a little hunting.  I'm not quite sure what he caught.  Hubby was taking these pics from our kitchen window.  I'm wondering if he's taking it to his mate.  If so, that would mean she's sitting in a nest somewhere and there may be baby Cardinals soon.  I'll be keeping a watch out. :)

Do you notice in the spring that one will call and call, and a faint echo of another one will do the same thing.
