I walked outside into my backyard and this beautiful Gardenia flower caught my eye. Then I realized it's the last flower on my Gardenia bush. I wonder since it is all alone on this large bush that it seemed even more beautiful to me. It does seem that sometimes when you realize something may be gone temporarily or permanently that you give it more thought, more attention.
Happy September friends!

Like Sandra said above, you can almost smell the flower.

Beautiful flower and wonderful thoughts....actually I'm kinda glad I can't smell it, cuz I would be a sneezing!!
Have a great monday.
It's gorgeous
It is gorgeous in its frame of dark green leaves. I was thinking similar thoughts about my roses the other day. They will be around for awhile longer but winter isn't far away.
Hope you are all enjoying your Labor Day Weekend.
What a pretty picture!
guess you are stopping to smell the roses...except it is a gardenia!
Really wonderful photo!
Sometimes scarcity does make us notice, and appreciate.
Reminds me of "The Little Prince" and his rose.
