Monday Before Thanksgiving

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is in three days!  I don't have anything for my dinner yet!  Hubby is working this week, son  is out of school all week and I have a lot to do. :) I think even the squirrels are ahead of me. LOL

I'm actually considering going out and about on Black Friday.  If you're in good company it can be so much fun! Of course I'll have my cell phone camera in hand, you never know what you may see on Black Fridays.  lol

I know our friends in Canada have already had their Thanksgiving, what about everyone else?  Are you cooking, will it be a big dinner or a quiet day?
How about Black Friday?  Will you be out in the madness?

Happy Monday!
This is "Front yard Mama Squirrel", she had part of her tail gone and a big cut
on her side, about 2 inches!  I started feeding her roasted, non-salted peanuts everyday with
liquid amoxicillan on them.  She ate them up!  Her cut healed and she has had babies since then.
She is very lucky to be up in this tree posing for me. :)
I also posted her way back when she was a youngster and she was sitting on my brick wall.
Some of you may remember her.  :)

She's a beauty!

I'm doing half the cooking and daughter is doing the other half and hosting. (thank goodness) Going (food) shopping shortly... wish me luck.

No, I won't be shopping on Black Friday, I'll be doing good if I get the necessary items today. I hate shopping!

What a sweet looking squirrel! I bet son is glad to be out of school for the week! I'm sure you'll get everything together for your dinner by the time of Thanksgiving :)

Nope, no shopping on Black Friday for me. Thankfully, I have to work which I consider a good thing to have to be there instead of shopping!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Marie!

I am cooking but no crowd, just me, husband, my 2 kids and a friend of my husbands who has no family and nowhere to go.
I have never gone shopping on black Friday and I won't this year either. I have to work that day but the grocery store is pretty quiet so it should be an easy day

That squirrel has a lot to be thankful for!
We will have a quiet, small dinner at home and no, I would not dare be in the rush/crowd on Black Friday.

Hope you have fun, though!

I like the photo of the squirrel that you medicated with amoxi drops. Clever idea to put med on the peanuts. How many amoxi drops per day did you give her? I've never medicated a squirrel.

So sweet of you to take such good care of her!

It will just be the three of us this year. And smoked salmon.

What an awesome and thoughtful thing to do for Mama Squirrel. You no doubt saved her life.

No shopping this week -- I do what little I do online. But you have fun!

Dinner at my sisters with most of my family as usual.

Planning my dinner today. Has to be gluten free, so somewhat of a challenge. No Black Friday for me. I'm too much of a chicken :)

I do Black Friday once every five years or so (it takes me that long to get over the trauma ;) ).
