Backyard Birds

We've had a lot of birds visiting us lately. :)  The Blue Jay youngsters seem to be the biggest babies of all. They will look at food and cry for mom and dad to come feed it to them...so funny!  And if another bird comes around they cry even louder!  We just laugh and laugh!!  We really do enjoy our critters!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day and has a fabulous week!

so cute! i do hear a lot more bluejays lately - i think they must be calling back and forth about their youngsters here, too.

Love your pics. Don't know that I've ever seen a young blue jay. Mockingbird young are SO big and they beg to be fed by mom and dad, too!

Have a nice week.

What great picture you got! The first two pictures are my favorite, you must have been fast to get them! What is the fourth bird? He looks so big!

they are so sweet to watch and learning how to eat on their own. These are great pictures.

Love your photos, Marie! The robins have been the loudest in my back yard. We have too many kitties around for their liking. I think they are afraid they'll climb up into their nests. And they might do that as they've been climbing the tree lately. I hope they leave the poor birdies alone!
Have a great week!

Great photos, Marie. We have Blue Jays all over the place --but I've never seen a baby one near our feeders... However, I have seen many other baby birds --and you are right.. They are sometimes larger than their parents....

Hugs,
Betsy

Little blue jays are definitely big babies. I used to love to watch them. This is the first place I have lived that doesn't have blue jays.
Looks like the woodpecker is doing his best to ignore the blue jays.

The birds were beautiful - I recognized most of them - but what kind was that first one? Wow is looked big. You have some great sites there.

Marie, that comment about my heels is so funny because those are my lowest heels or my heels. They are easy cheesy to walk in. I have 4 inch ones that are amazingly tricky but I manage. You are so nice to visit and I loved your comment!!!

Oops, meant to say ...

...these photos of yours are very well done. You can see every feather like you could reach out and touch them. Wow!!!
