I've had many experiences with baby squirrels and their mothers and a few other wildlife animals. I remember taking care of a baby bird with my dad when I was a young girl. I've passed the caring and respect of animals on to my son.
One year on July 4th, Kyle was 3 or 4 yrs old, there was a bunny with a broken leg, we scooped her up and Kyle held her all the way to the wildlife center. He named it Firecracker. Well, turns out it was a she and she was pregnant. Her leg healed and her babies lived. :) Kyle will never forget holding her and saving her.
Hope you enjoy this short video. :)

I have to saw we have had squirrels in the attic about 5 times - it did not go as smooth as that! lol
That video was so cute, Marie. I didn't realize that baby squirrels didn't have much fur or hair! She must carry them real delicately in her mouth like that! Thanks for sharing!

That video was so cute. I was wondering what she had in her mouth first then I realised it was one of her babies. Made me smile this morning, thank you for sharing :)
What a sweet video. I'm so happy that Kyle got to have such a great experience when he was so young. He has inherited some great traits from his mom.
Love it. I have no problem scooping up injured animals and taking care of them.
I am so glad your story had a happy ending and you had somewhere to take an injured animal. Compassion is so important in this world.
You are true. Kyle will never forget this experience. Wonderful time to take care of animals!

When you love animals, you just love them all. Right??? Sometimes those little critters need our help... It's wonderful when we can take time to help them....
Hope you can have some Tulips in your new home next year!!!
