Eastern Blue Birds

This is my grandmother's favorite bird, they really are beautiful.  She and I share the same passion for animals.
The birds sure do enjoy the holly berries in our backyard and I enjoy watching the entire bush shake when all of a sudden it's as if they just found this buffet.  lol  Some days there's only a couple of Wrens out back and other days it's a like a festival of birds, which we very much enjoy.
The very first bird I helped rescue was a baby Mocking bird.  I was about seven and dad and I raised him or her until it was ready to be on it's own and flew away.  Do you have a favorite bird? It's a challenge for me to choose only one but, Cardinals have always caught my eye. :)

I love love love my Bluebirds. I love a lot of birds --but the Bluebirds are probably my favorite. IF you ever decide to feed them or put up a nestbox, I'll be glad to give you some ideas.... They are such adorable birds and we have them here year-round.

Hugs,
Betsy

Your pictures are gorgeous! We have a few around here, but I have never been able to get a good picture. We probably need a Holly bush. I do like the crows for their extreme smartness, using tools and figuring out puzzles. Come to think of it, I am a birdwatcher and have never thought what my favorite bird may be!

They are so cute! Definitely don't have them here, which is probably why they are called eastern blue birds.

Love the photos of these pretty birds. I think one of my favorites is a Grey Tufted Titmouse. But it is a hard choice as I enjoy them all.

I really like owls. But all birds are neat!

Marie these photos of the Eastern Bluebird are amazing. Were you outside when you took them and what kind of camera do you use?

Harps Mill Road is off Falls of the Neuse I think. Not close to us but in the same area of the county. Kinda Northern Wake.

You have some beautiful photos! The pretty Bluebird has always been my favorite, too. We have them here all year around and I just saw 2 of the males today fly by the window. I loved seeing that flash of bright blue. I also love the cardinals, especially in the winter time. They sure brighten up the dull looking landscape. Loved seeing your birds!

Those are some gorgeous pictures. Such a good looking bluebird. My favorite bird is the chickadee. They are little characters. Very nice post.

I've never seen a bluebird. Or an owl, outside of a wildlife park. I love owls, eagles, falcons & hawks.

Incredibly beautiful photos, Marie. I have a soft spot for Carolina Wrens. They have quite the personality! I visited a store with bird supplies this week and purchased some decals that are to help birds not fly into windows.
