What I Will Not Miss About Florida

I will not miss seeing Alligators on the side of the road!  We saw this one while driving to the main post office here in Orlando.  I spotted it and we turned around, parked and got out to take pics.  It never moved.  It's mouth is open because that's how they cool off.  These were taken in September, I believe.

They can move very quickly!  I grew up on a lake and there were a lot of gators.  If you live in Florida, you shouldn't allow your pups to wade in any body of water.

How do you feel about gators?

Florida Gators...The Movie

Remember last month when hubby and I found baby Alligators out by the airport?  Well, we stopped by and checked on them.  They seem to be doing very well!  And there was no sign of Mama which was just fine with me. :)

We think Mama is hanging out in there somewhere. :)

This is their home.  If you look  towards the center you can see a little one.

Deadliest Catch

My son and his friends went fishing one night and caught this baby alligator.  When he told me about it I thought he was kidding and then he showed me this photo....yikes!
They took pics and released the little monster cutie.:)

Florida Gators

Hubby and I took a drive out by Orlando International Airport.  We usually see some critters out and about.  We stopped by a huge drainage ditch where we had seen storks, turtles and rabbits before.  As we approached the ditch we heard something hit the water quickly, way too fast for a turtle.  Hubby then spotted the little creatures...baby alligators!  Which means Mama is close by!  Needless to say we didn't stay long! LOL  In every body of water in Florida there is a good chance a gator is in it.
They were only about 10 inches long.
Next time I will post photos of the little gator our son and his friends played with. LOL

You can see the stripes on this one.

This is their home...

Had a hard time seeing this one.  Mother Nature knows camouflage!

Afternoon at the Park with My Son Part 4

While my son and I were visiting the park his best friend called.  What happened next??  You guessed it, he came to join us. :)  They took off and quickly left me behind. LOL

Hope December is everything you want it to be.  I haven't caught up yet, but it's okay it will all work out. :)

There they go, straight to the water to look for alligators. LOL

Doesn't it look like summer?
