Our Rocket is 3!

Our Rocket turned 3 on this past Sunday, December 1st.  We've got a lot going on now and do feel bad that he didn't have cake, but he will be enjoying his birthday cake this coming weekend. :)
We rescued Rocket from the local county shelter and believe me we were just in time.  We weren't looking for another puppy dog, but have you noticed that in life the best gifts are unexpected??  I've found that to be so true in my life.
Happy Belated Birthday to our dear Rocket boy!

Rocket loves the camera.:)

sweet baby

We've never had a problem getting Rocket to relax. LOL

My Squirrel Collection

Everyone knows I love animals and animals seem to love me.  I would have to say doggies and squirrels are my favorite, but I don't discriminate
when it comes to an animal in need.
When Squirrelqueen (Judy) became my first member on my blog, I was first excited to have a member and then I was tickled that she went by the name Squirrelqueen since I love squirrels.
I have a small collection of squirrels that I want to share with you all.  Things with animals, flowers, hearts and the word "love" tend to catch my eye.

My mom found this for me at a thrift store.  It has such great detail!

A good friend of mine gave me the large squirrel for my birthday.
It's about 11" tall.  The little squirrel is about 2" tall.

Cute picture holder, even cuter with my son's pic. :)
I can't help my self - he's my only baby without fur. ha ha!

I found this adorable ceramic bowl with lid at a thrift store.
This is one of my favorites.

This is a flower pot my son painted for me when he was about 4 yrs old.
I just keep adding cute little squirrels to it that he gives me.

This is an acorn candle.

Isn't that cute!?

This little guy holds food to share with his squirrel buddies.
It doesn't stay full for long. :)

I found this years ago.  It's in my rocks along the walkway
to our frontdoor.

Two Special Gifts.

These are two gifts that I received for Christmas.  One I will look at everyday and my heart will smile.  The other I will hang on our Christmas tree every year and enjoy it's beauty.

My son gave me this pretty plaque.  When I'm having an off moment things like this really lift my spirits.

This is my newest ornament.  I had never seen these before.  It's about 3" long and hangs on a green ribbon.

I would have never suspected you could do this with a leaf.  It's really neat.
