Life is Busy!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!  We've been keeping extra busy, but I'm not complaining. :)  Mom and dad came for a visit.  They had to be here for their grandson's 19th birthday!  Yes, my baby boy is 19 yrs young, hard to believe!  Besides this big celebration we celebrated Father's Day, Mother's Day and my Mother's birthday!!!  It was a vacation for us all!
After all the celebrations and vacation hubby had returned to work.  On his second day back to work I got a call that he was being taken to the ER by ambulance, I was freaking out!!  Kyle and I met the ambulance there!  It turned out to be kidney stones.  We're grateful it wasn't something worse.  He's back to his good health and now has an idea of what labor is like for a woman. ha ha!:)
Talking about health issues and hospital visits make me think of Ginny and Phil at Let Your Light Shine.  Most of you that visit me probably visit sweet Ginny.  Phil, Ginny's husband, has been diagnosed with Melanoma.  I lost my granddaddy to this cancer and I'm at high risk for melanoma because I have dysplastic nevus syndrome.  Even if you don't know Ginny and Phil please say a prayer for them.  

I'll be making my way around blog land playing catch up.  I've missed everyone's stories and photos!  :)

Since we received a handheld scanner for Christmas, hubby has been scanning a lot of sentimental photos and cards.  So, today I will share a few precious items with you.

Bare Beauty

It's a different kind of winter here in Cary, it's cold!  In Orlando 55 degrees was freezing to us, but here 55 degrees with the sunshine is a perfect day.  I wish it was going to be 55 today or even 45, not happening.  It was 12 degrees at 6:30 this morning and now it's a sunny 18 degrees!

These trees make me think of my son.  When Kyle was young and wanted a toy or something I would remind him that having fun and nice things is fine, but if one day you no longer have things make sure You're a good and kind person because that's all that really matters.  These trees are mostly bare, but yet are still beautiful.

Happy 18th Birthday Son!

My baby boy is 18 yrs young!  It seems like just yesterday I was carrying him around on my hip and now he can pick me up.  ha! ha!  
My parents showed up at midnight to start Kyle's birthday celebration!  Hubby and I bought Kyle a pool table for his birthday and his grandparents showed up with pool table chairs for him as one of his gifts.  We had a great time playing pool into the early a.m.!

Happy Thanksgiving 2013

I wish everyone a Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving!  I'm so thankful to have such kind & warm hearted friends in blogland.  
I'm also thankful that God's creatures of all shapes and sizes have a lot of times made their way to me.  And when they do, I never turn them away. :)
This little one below is a new addition to one of our Mama Squirrel's family and she has taught her little ones that they can trust me and to just give us this cute look and we'll pass out dinner. :)  Animals also trust and love my son.  He has never thought twice about helping an animal in need.  He also has a big heart for elderly people and for this I'm thankful!

I'll be with my family having a wonderful dinner and counting blessings all day because I'm so THANKFUL for life!

Kyle wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. :)  
We took him to Kobe Steakhouse for his birthday dinner and it was delicious!  They put on such a fun cooking show!  Afterwards we went to my parents home and pigged out on White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cake from Cheesecake Factory.  Kyle has never been a fan of cake, but he loves this cake. :)  

Kyle, my baby boy, had a wonderful birthday!  Again, thank you for all the wishes!

Lifeguard In The House

It's official, Wet 'n Wild has a new lifeguard and his name is Kyle. :)  His first day was on Father's Day.  

Kyle has worked for the past few years with my dad learning plumbing and irrigation, but having to fill out an application, go to interviews, pass CPR and water rescue tests has been a valuable experience for him.  We are so proud of him!

I personally don't believe there's a more important

job in the world than being a good Mom. 

I did get a pretty card, flowers, my special coffee and will be spending the day with my Mother, my Grandma and my Son.  I couldn't ask for anything more.

But, I do want to share my card with you because my son told me it took him 30 minutes to pick it out. :)

I told him the words were exactly what I needed and that  after this past year I am worth at the least 30 minutes. :)
