Egret's Lovely Friends

On Saturday I shared a handsome Egret with you.  Today I am sharing some of his pretty and handsome friends with you...some Wood Ducks.  Funny thing is I see a lot of ducks but not Wood Ducks, usually Mallards.  I'll just share a few of the many pics taken. :)
Hope Monday is good to everyone.

so pretty. the first time i saw a wood duck, the male, i said to Diane are you sure that is a REAL duck, it looks like a painted decoy, then it started to swim... i think they are amazing.

Great little duckies, Marie. Yes, peaceful weekend and Date Night. Now I am energized for the week ahead! Thanks for your nice and 'sweet' comments. Now I can see why your blog is named as it is!

What an interesting duck. I've only seen Mallards. I like the colors of the male Wood duck. You captured some very nice photos.

All that lush green sure give them an attractive backdrop!

Wonderful!!! We have many mallards, but I have never seen a real Wood Duck!! My favorite picture here is the first one where they are both in the water and facing each other, amazing!!

I love the bright colors on the male but the female is pretty too. About the only time I see them is at the park in the aviary. I would like to see them like you did out on a pond living in the wild.

Nice! We are very near a golf course that has ponds so there are always many wild fowl there. I sometimes hear geese honking, but there are most likely various ducks there as well. Maybe I should sneak out on the course one night and capture some shots of them? Naaah, a wild bear would probably decide to go golfing that same night and nab me.
