Fun With The Sun

It all started with Madsnapper's sunbeams and shadows post that I loved!  One afternoon I was sitting at my dining room table and I noticed the sun beaming through my water bottle.  So, I did what Madsnapper would do...started snapping madly!  The water bottle wasn't too pretty so, I decided to swap it out for this beautiful statue.  The sun is shining through one of our high living room windows.  This takes place around 4:20 p.m.  I had to wait until the next day to continue snapping.  It's amazing how quickly the sun moves.

My Favorite Pancakes

My favorite pancakes are Cracker Barrel pancakes with CB syrup.  So of course we bought some to make at home.  So, when hubby made a huge plate of pancakes Sunday morning he didn't hear any complaints from me. :)  Just before pigging out savoring every bite, I had an idea to snap a pic of the feast even though I didn't have my coffee or sausages yet.  Don't worry I didn't eat all those pancakes myself.  Hubby and son were kind enough to assist in making them disappear. :)

 

Some Of My Flowers Fly

This beautiful Two-tailed Swallowtail showed up in my backyard yesterday.  It seemed to really enjoy my Bougainvillea.  It made me think of a flower in flight. 

This reminds me of a heart...

I love this view.

Their markings are just amazing...I so enjoyed our little visit.

Visitor In The Backyard

We kept seeing this pretty bird visiting our backyard oak tree.  We took a few pics of her, which wasn't easy.  She was really high up in the tree and just cruising around it.  We thought she was a Red-Headed Woodpecker, but we did a little research and found out otherwise.  We believe she's a Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker which is a different type of woodpecker.  She has made quite a pattern from all her pecking.  She's a busy little girl. THH!
