College Boy!

It's been a very emotional and wonderful few months.  We moved to NC, son graduated high school, son turns 18 and today he started college!  Kyle is in the pre-engineering program at the local tech community college.  He left for class today with a big smile.  We are so proud of you, Kyle!

He Doesn't Eat Much.

The pups found this cute grasshopper in our new blooms.  Rocket checks the blooms daily.  Lucky for this little guy Rocket decided not to eat him. lol  And since the grasshopper doesn't seem to eat too much,  we decided he could stay. :)

We've been getting quite a bit of rain and it has been feeling like fall here.  I've actually turned off the air again!  How is your weather treating you?

A Little Hummingbird & A Pretty Moth

I'm doing my best to make my backyard Hummingbird friendly.  I keep seeing them, but they're so quick!  I finally got a pic of one yesterday, look closely he/she is there. :)

Today I saw this unusual moth.  He/she sat still and let me take a few pics.  I just love nature, we've been given so many gifts if we just take time to appreciate them.

Happy weekend to you!

3 Years of Blogging

Yesterday, July 27, 2014, was my 3 year blogging anniversary!  I've enjoyed blog land so much!  . :)  I would love for so many of us to meet up at a house at the beach or in the mountains and chat in person!  Maybe that will happen one day. :)

Son has been in Florida visiting his grandparents and friends, I've missed him so much!  We will be picking him up at RDU at 7 tonight, so happy!!!

I'll leave you with some favorites of mine. :)

Hugs to you all!

Colorful Backyard

When we moved into our new home one of the first things I did was plant flower seeds.  I took everything I could find and threw them into the built in planters on the lower deck.  We're finally seeing some beautiful blooms!
I may have to beg MadSnapper to send me more Powder Puff and Poinciana pods, I'm not sure if I have any left.  My parents have Sandra's grandchildren down in Florida, hope they survive. lol

Happy weekend!

Roxanne likes flowers just like her mommy. :)

Our Life In Cary

We're really enjoying our new home in Cary!  It didn't take long before the neighborhood squirrels came by to welcome us look for treats. lol!  And as you would guess, it didn't bother me one bit!  They are so smart and so entertaining!
I've actually seen a Bald Eagle in my backyard.  A bunch of crows were chasing it.  He/she landed in the top of a pine tree and talk about gorgeous!  Sadly, it all happened so fast that I didn't have a chance to snap a pic.  Those crows really work well as a team, quite impressive birds.
Son and hubby have been practicing archery, I've been planting flowers and the pups are enjoying their new playground. :)
It's a beautiful day here!  Hope you're day is beautiful in every way!
