Yesterday, July 27, 2014, was my 3 year blogging anniversary! I've enjoyed blog land so much! . :) I would love for so many of us to meet up at a house at the beach or in the mountains and chat in person! Maybe that will happen one day. :) Son has been in Florida visiting his grandparents and friends, I've missed him so much! We will be picking him up at RDU at 7 tonight, so happy!!! I'll leave you with some favorites of mine. :) Hugs to you all! SweetMarie

Today makes two years since I started my blog! It's really hard to believe; time seems to fly by. There are a few of you that have gotten to know me pretty well through email and I you. You're all very dear to me and I cherish our friendships. I really look forward to reading everyone's blogs everyday and when I am running behind I miss it so much. :) Today I want to share something about myself that you don't know, but if you were to walk in my home you would know it immediately. I have an Inspiration Wall. Well, it's on the back of some cabinets. lol It all started on one cabinet door in my kitchen where I have always taped up miscellaneous items that made me happy. After I started blogging I came across so many positive quotes and words of wisdom I found to be inspirational I started writing them down. As I was writing them I started taping them up so that I could see them everyday. Now I have my Inspiration Wall, thanks to everyone in Blogland. :) I'm happy to be here and I'm here to stay! Hugs to you all, Marie
This is my favorite..

The drawing of the car was on the refrigerator, my son drew it many years ago. :)
She believed She could, so She Did! (some days I am and some days I'm not...my goal is to be like this Everyday!)
One night I followed the voice of my heart and here I am.
It's been a year since I started my blog and I had no idea what to expect when starting "Women Talk About Life". I do know that I'm following some incredible blogs and getting to know the wonderful people that created them. My very first follower was Judy aka Squirrel Queen. What was so ironic is that I absolutely LOVE squirrels! I asked Squirrel Queen so many questions about blogging and she was always happy to help me. :) In the past year I have found myself thinking about some amazing people from all corners of the world. I have laughed with you, cried for some and prayed for all. And I've made friends with people I may never meet. I'm not a good writer or close to being a photographer, but what I do have is passion for life, people, animals and nature. I hope that while visiting my blog everyone does see and feel my passions. I really love blog land and all of you wonderful, caring bloggers! Thank you all for your kind words, support, advice and time. :)
I'm blessed and I know it...I thank him every day.
This is a music box that I have (it's on the backside). It plays the song "Let It Be". I like what this says and I read it at least weekly. Down below I uploaded the song from Youtube in case you would like to listen to it.
I'm still here and determined to figure this blogging stuff out. ha ha! This has been a very hectic time. It's the last week before my son starts school and we're not finished with our "to do" list yet. He still needs his haircut and a few more school items....like a $100 calculator for geometry...wow! High school is getting expensive, maybe they're preparing us for college expenses, lol! Maybe this weekend will be more relaxing. I don't know how my grandmother managed with eight kids! God Bless you mothers out there with 3,4 or more children.
I probably should let my son help me with my blog because I'm sure he knows more about the internet than I do. I wish I were a natural on here, but I'm not. Today I've taken some time to look at a few other blogs and I'm real impressed with people's creativity. And I've learned that there are constantly new bloggers. So, let's help each other out! If you drop by on my blog, please say hello and I'll stop by your blog and say hello. Got to go for now, everyone have a great day!
Today I got advice from www.squirrelqueen2.blogspot.com. She's in Washington State and I'm in Florida. Is the internet great or what??? I started following her blog and within hours she had become my first member, welcomed me to the world of blogging and gave some very valuable advice. Thank you, thank you and thank you! This is the type of person that you want to have around in life. You might be having a not so great day and then there's someone like SquirrelQueen there to lend a helping hand. This is all new to me, but one day I will be able to give advice and help a rookie with their blog. Life is good!
Let's start with Friday, a visit to a Neurosurgeon. Yep, he recommends surgery, always fun to think of someone operating near your spinal cord. Seems that I have herniated discs in my cervical spine and a bone spur, ouch! I was aware of some of this and it's time to decide on surgery, can't put it off any longer. The rest of Friday was a good day. My son started his new very part time job, I'm very proud of him and happy he will have some spending money other than mine. ha ha.
Then there's Saturday, I woke up early a.m. and had an awful sinus headache. I started taking medication in hopes I would wake up later and it would be gone. Nope, I woke back up later that morning and headache was worse and I felt sick to my stomach. I can't be sick, especially on a weekend! That means no date with the hubby, no shopping with the best friend and no playing in the sprinklers with the doggies and last but not least, no driving with my wonderful son. And that's exactly what happened! I ended up sick all weekend and did nothing but let my hubby feed me toast. Let me tell you, eating in bed is over-rated! I had crumbs everywhere! My puppy dogs were staying close to me which was really sweet, until they would hear the neighbor dogs barking and they would start their barking. Other then that they were big babies and wanted to get in bed with me. My Rambo thinks he's a puppy, he doesn't understand he's a 95 lb. big dog, not exactly a lap dog.
On Sunday around 4:00 p.m. I woke up and realized that my headache wasn't as bad and I could actually talk without feeling like my head would explode. I can't remember the last time I had such an awful headache. First thing I did was call my grandma and let her know I was better, she had called and was concerned about me. She's the best! I'm so lucky to have her, she'll be 82 this year. Next, I took a shower and then hubby made some dinner. Dinner was so good, especially after eating toast and saltines for two days.
This evening I did some more research on blogging, there's so much to learn. I really hope this blog works out and I meet some women on here and who knows maybe a bunch of us will be meeting for lunch one day. Follow your dreams and your passions and it will all work out, that's what I believe. Hope to hear from you soon...
