Livin' in The Flight Path

I live in the Conway area of Orlando.  Conway is in the middle of downtown Orlando and Orlando International Airport.  So, I'm only about 4 miles from OIA and yep I'm in one of their
flight paths.  I don't notice it so much anymore, after being in my home for 15 years, but when  I have company they sure notice it!  Sometimes it seems like the plane is about to land on
my front lawn. LOL!

That's quite a variety of planes, great shots. When we lived in Portland, OR we lived in the flight path of Portland International. You do get used to it after awhile.

Now we live almost next door (about a mile) to our Regional Airport and we love it. Of course there are only two commercial flights a day. LOL! Most of the planes are small private aircraft.

I was born and raised in Savannah Ga, which was the home of Hunter Army Air Field Sac unit, the jets came in so close over our heads the pictures rattled on the walls. big transport planes were common to, so i can relate. we are only 7 miles from Sarasota/Bradenton air port, but they make the planes come in over the bay, so it misses us, but drive the Longboat Key rich folks crazy. the price they pay for living at the beach

Oh my! Did you get a bargain on your house because of this? I think this would constantly give me a start, hearing them so low, I would think they were crashing into the house! So they never wake you up?

I know exactly what that's like. When my first husband and I were just starting out we lived in a mobile home that was a few miles away from the local airport. We were directly in the line of the approach to the runway. The only time it bothered me was when I was on the phone . Other than that I got used to it.
