My Squirrel Collection

Everyone knows I love animals and animals seem to love me.  I would have to say doggies and squirrels are my favorite, but I don't discriminate
when it comes to an animal in need.
When Squirrelqueen (Judy) became my first member on my blog, I was first excited to have a member and then I was tickled that she went by the name Squirrelqueen since I love squirrels.
I have a small collection of squirrels that I want to share with you all.  Things with animals, flowers, hearts and the word "love" tend to catch my eye.

My mom found this for me at a thrift store.  It has such great detail!

A good friend of mine gave me the large squirrel for my birthday.
It's about 11" tall.  The little squirrel is about 2" tall.

Cute picture holder, even cuter with my son's pic. :)
I can't help my self - he's my only baby without fur. ha ha!

I found this adorable ceramic bowl with lid at a thrift store.
This is one of my favorites.

This is a flower pot my son painted for me when he was about 4 yrs old.
I just keep adding cute little squirrels to it that he gives me.

This is an acorn candle.

Isn't that cute!?

This little guy holds food to share with his squirrel buddies.
It doesn't stay full for long. :)

I found this years ago.  It's in my rocks along the walkway
to our frontdoor.

The bowl is my favorite! I am also a squirrel lover and have written quit a few posts about them. When I was a little girl, I didn't have a pet and was lonely, so I opened the back door and let a squirrel in the house. They were tame because we sat on the porch and fed them peanuts. I still remember my mom running up and down the steps with her housecoat flying, broom in her hands, shouting words like "rabies" vermin" "spank you when I get my hands on you".

I am giggling over Ginny's comment about letting the squirrel in the house. Can you imagine her mom with the broom chasing it around.

I love your collection of squirrels Marie. You've got some really cute ones. The flower pot is adorable and there are so many squirrels. The one I love is the Squirrel Crossing, I am going to have to look for one of those. Thanks for the shout!

my fav is the big squirrel on his back giggling with his acorn. and i am smiling as i type thinking about ginny and her mother.

A great collection...I think I've told you we live on 80 acres and NOT ONE squirrel!! When we lived in town we had dozens--crazy. I like you am waiting for Theresa to do another squirrel giveaway--hint,hint
Have a great weekend!!

You have a great collection there. I love squirrels, too, and love to watch them when they are in the back yard. I've yet to catch one going into or out of their nest high in the trees, though!
Have a good weekend!

They are all so cute! I especially love the second one. Extra sweet! Squirrels are adorable. Except for when they chew a hole in your roof. Ha!
