It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

It's feeling like Christmas in our home! All three trees are up, our family tree, my little tree in the dining room and the pups have their own little tree this year. :)
There is a house on the corner of our street that has their lights set to music on the radio.  It's really neat to watch.  Kyle would have loved this as a young child!  We see many families with their little ones and their pups walking into the neighborhood to enjoy the show.  Every time we're coming home we tune into their station and enjoy the show. :)

We bought a real tree this year since it's our first Christmas here in Cary. :)

This is one of my favorites.  My parents bought this ornament for Kyle's first Christmas since I have done wildlife rescue and I had a pet squirrel when he was born.

This was a gift from a favorite teacher. :)

Kyle gave me this ornament, so cute!

I think it came out really pretty!
Thanks to hubby and son for putting the lights on, I have no patience for lights. lol

Our First Christmas in Cary

We all agreed on a real tree for our first Christmas in Cary.  Hubby and son trimmed the trunk and got it in the stand and I did a lot of vacuuming. :)
Note to self, turn off t.v. when son needs to focus. lol

The tree is now decorated and I'll share those pics later. :)
Enjoy your last month of 2014!

Can you see that he's not focused on the tree?
There must be cars on t.v.. lol

Now, I just need to water it everyday!

Back to the t.v.. lol

This is Cary's downtown theater.  It's so cute!
We haven't been there yet, but we will. :)
sorry about the reflection!

This pic was taken about a week ago, not sure if these beautiful leaves are still hanging on. :)

Baking, Shopping, wrapping & picture taking!

We always send out photo Christmas cards to family and friends.  We always have fun with it!  Hubby loves sitting up the tripod, the pups start barking and we have Christmas music playing and cookies in the oven.  Most of the photos come out blurred because one of us move. LOL

Kyle is no longer working as a life guard because we thought it would be getting cold (what a joke!) and he wanted to get some cash handling experience on his resume.  He's been working at Marshalls for about two months and is really enjoying himself.  He works the register 95% of the time.  We're very proud of him!  I do enjoy his 10% discount and on some days he gets 20% which is great considering it's already a discounted store with nice items. :)

I'm home alone right now, so I'm off to do more baking and visit some blogs. :)  I'll leave you with Heidi & myself, she's 5 lbs of sweetness!  XOXO's!!!

she's such a sweetie!

It's finally beginning to look like Christmas

It's finally looking like Christmas in our home!  We've been running so far behind this year!  Last night we put up the tree, stockings, baked cookies, we were singing and dancing and we watched Charlie Brown's Christmas.:)
We have another new family member and her name is Heidi.  Heidi's owner no longer wanted her or her kitten sister and my uncle took them in so they weren't thrown away.  My uncles oldest female pup didn't like Heidi too much and was picking on her, but my Grandma loves Heidi and she lives with my uncle.  Anyway, I now have Heidi, so now my grandma still gets to see Heidi and all is well.  Heidi fits in our family perfectly, she's feisty and we love her!  And our pups love all 5 lbs of Heidi!  She's 8 yrs young and so she and Roxanne are the same age. :)
Now we have 3 1/2 pups and 1 kitty cat!  Life is never boring!

More of Cary, NC

I have more of beautiful Cary to share with you.

I can't believe it's already November!  I'm not Christmas shopping yet, but I do love Christmas music.  My son took me to Starbucks over the weekend and he played Christmas music for us to enjoy, we both love it. :)

Rainbows

I was almost home from a doctor's appointment when hubby and I saw this beautiful rainbow.  So, I grabbed my handy dandy camera and  I started snapping through the windshield.  :)  Just beautiful!

I can't believe it's already October!  My grandma turned 84 on the 2nd.  We will be having a big celebration for her this weekend. :)

I'm already seeing Christmas in the stores and even though it's my favorite holiday, it's just too soon for me. :)
Any special plans for the weekend?

Beginning to Look Like Christmas

Happy Sunday to everyone!  Hope everyone is doing great!  We've been running way behind this year, but it's starting to finally look like Christmas here at our home.  We just mailed our Christmas cards Friday night, better late than never. :)
We've had a few cool days here in Orlando so, I've been  wearing sweaters and my boots!  Sandra, aka MadSnapper, knows how happy this makes me. LOL

We will be having Christmas breakfast at home and  dinner at my parents home.  Today I will be baking a bunch of cookies!  My son's nickname is Cookie Monster and has been since he was about two.  He loves warm chocolate chip cookies and many others as well.  A few of my favorite are chocolate chip cookies, ginger bread cookies, blackberry cobbler and sweet potato pie...yummy!  What are some favorites in your home??

Rocket is worried because the tree is far from decorated and he doesn't smell any good gifts. :)
P.S.  I don't have make-up on or do any photo shop this is me, I keep it simple. :) LOL

Roxanne never worries because she knows mommy always comes through. :)

He Is The Reason.

A time to reflect on Christ
The gift God gave to all the world
Was the gift of His life

We know Christmas is not about tinsel
Nor fancy Christmas wreaths
Nor is it about all the decorations
That adorns our Christmas trees
And it’s not about Holly or Mistletoe
Hanging from our doors
Nor is it about the gifts that are left
By the jolly Santa Claus

Christmas is more than all of this
And the only reason why
We celebrate Christ’s birth together
And the wonder of His life

So remember as you celebrate
Just what it’s all about
And invite the Lord to join with you
Instead of leaving Him out

For He will always be the reason
We celebrate this day
No substitute the world may offer
Can take that meaning away

A Few Christmas Favorites of Mine.

I have a few favorites that make me say "awww" every Christmas.  I'm sure none of you will be surprised that most of these items relate to my son. :)
Kyle made this for me when he was four years old.

Kyle made this for me when he was five.

One of many favorite pics.

Awwww...

I've always liked my reindeer card holder, but this year I love it!
If you look to the top you'll see MadSnapper's puppy dogs, Jake and Baby.
I get to see their cute faces everyday and I love it!

It's Starting To Look Like Christmas

It's finally starting to look like Christmas, but not necessarily feeling like Christmas.  I haven't had one fire in my fireplace.  We did have one fire in the firepit in the backyard.  It's not the same though.
People around town are getting in the spirit and we've been enjoying beautiful music and lights.

This is one of my favorites.

Took this pic from the car and that car was moving, so it's a little blurry.

I've always liked snowmen.  :)

My Rambo sends XO's to ALL!
