Short Sweet Snow in January 2017

Last weekend we were expecting 6" to 10" of snow in Cary/Raleigh, NC which would've been nice, instead we got little snow and too much rain..ice.  We still enjoyed our three whole inches. lol  We put extra food out for the critters and the pups really enjoyed it, it seems to energize them!  As for us, it was so pretty to see.  I don't think I would be happy having snow for more than a week.  I guess it's because at heart I'm a Florida girl. :)

I'm curious, are you living in the state you truly desire or does your heart desire somewhere different? If so, where?

here's our pups with their boy Kyle.
make sure to turn up the volume so you can hear Kyle laughing and Rambo barking. :)

A Boy & His Dog

Our pups love Kyle and he adores them!  When he gets home our pups go out of their minds as if they haven't seen him in days.
A little something about my son, he will not pass up an animal in need.  And if there is an elderly person struggling with anything he will jump right in to lend a helping hand.  These are some of his wonderful traits that I think about when he is having a teen moment. :) LOL!

Behind This Door Is A Boy, A Box And Three Dogs.

Behind this door is a boy that loves to play with his doggies.  And loves to start trouble. LOL  This was part of the fun while decorating.

This is our front door.  My Great-Aunt Sally made this wreath for me, it's my favorite!

Looks so innocent...

Not so much...

Kyle loves to play with his doggies and get them excited and that usually means starting trouble. LOL!

Rambo is a little jealous!

Roxanne is a little jealous!

Rocket is a "Happy Camper"and doesn't understand what all the fuss is over. LOL

In the end everything worked out beautifully.  Happy Holidays!

Precious Time With My Baby Boy

Everyone knows my son likes to drive everyday.
And I do believe we have driven everyday since he got his permit.  I don't mind going for drives with him because that's just more time I have with him.  And with my baby boy being 15 I know my time will be less and less.  He's so sweet.  He'll ask if I would like a latte or something.  Then I try to give him money and he tells me "he has it covered" and immediately tears fill my eyes.  The simpliest gestures tell me I've raised
a good boy who will be a good man.

I remembered my camera today and Kyle, my son, agreed that the sky should be photographed.

These photos are in order and all taken within 30 minutes.

Can you see Fed Ex on the plane?

My doggies are missing their boy

My three doggies are having withdrawels...they miss their boy.  Ever since my son started back to school Roxanne, Rambo and Rocket have really been misbehaving.  As soon as my son walks through the front door he's ambushed by all three doggies, there's no way for him to avoid slobbering puppy dog kisses.  When he's leaving home in the mornings he can barely get out the door, all three doggies are trying to go to school with him.  And during the day they're missing their outdoor play time with my son.  So now they've started the racetrack game inside on a regular basis.  This also consist of showing our teeth to one another, but it's really harmless...they love each other. :)  When the games begin there is always a dog in charge and it's always the same dog, that would be Roxy.  She's the boss and they all know it!  She is an Alpha dog.  I'm going to post a few pics of the my babies having their fun...hope you enjoy.

My teen son has started back to school

My son started his sophomore year today.  My little boy is growing up!  He's pretty excited because he started at a new school.  He attended the local public high school last year, but other than friends and that he made the varsity swim team there's not much to be missed.  It's an "A" school, but it's lacking a lot.  The classrooms are overcrowded and there's disrespectful
students that interrupt the teachers constantly, not a very good learning environment.  I found a nice small Christian school that we are all happy with and now that's the school he attends.
What a difference it makes when a teacher actually has time for each student and that students feel important and they actually have time to ask questions.
