Valentine's Day 2015!

Happy Valentine's Day to my blogging family!!!
I love & appreciate the kindness, respect, support, advice, tears & laughter that
we all share!
XOXOXO's to all of you from me!

Since we received a handheld scanner for Christmas, hubby has been scanning a lot of sentimental photos and cards.  So, today I will share a few precious items with you.

This is a Valentine card that Kyle made for me
when he was in Kindergarten.
I love you, my sweet boy, Kyle.

This is Kyle and I at Silver Springs in Florida.
Kyle loved SS because of all the animals.
This is the mother, there was a baby Giraffe as well.

This is me and hubby before we became husband & wife.
As my Granddaddy Alphin would say,
we were still courtin'.  :)
I love you, Craig.

This is Sami, Kyle's first puppy dog.
Here she had gone to my parents coastal home with us.
She loved the boat almost as much as
Kyle loved her..

the date is off by about 7 yrs. lol

It's all about
LOVE...

Thank You Mare

A wonderful blogger, Mare, at
ADVENTURES IN THE BALLPARK gave me this
Fabulous Blog Ribbon.

Thank you so much Mare for thinking of me!
I enjoy your blog tremendously!
You're a wonderful writer!

The fabulous blog ribbon must be shared, which I'm happy to do.  First, though, the required self-revelations:  Name five things I've experienced in my life that were fabulous.

My fabulous five:
1. My pregnancy, every flutter, every kick and every hiccup I enjoyed more than I can

express.  Having a life grow inside me is the most Fabulous experience I've ever had!

2. When Craig and I were dating and I realized that I would be with him forever was way Fabulous

3. Every animal rescue, from squirrels in the middle of a highway to puppy dogs on Christmas Day.  Nothing but Fabulous

4. Strangers complimenting my son's manners.  This is a Fabulous experience for a mom!

5. While growing up not only did I have grandparents, I was also blessed with two great-grandmothers.  This was truly Fabulous!

Five things I don't like:

1. People that litter!  Can't stand them, want to slap them! LOL
2. Bad drivers.
3. Animal neglect or abuse.
4. Seeing an elderly person alone.  Just sad.
5. Wasting money!!!

Five things I love:

1. I Love my husband, son and puppy dogs!

2. I Love to laugh!
3. I Love family traditions.
4. I Love nature.
5. I just Love road-trips!

I would like to pass this Fabulous Blog Ribbon Award on to the following blogs:

1. A Bench With A View Betty and her Corgi, adorable Koda, have wonderful life stories to share along with some fantastic book reviews.

2. My Girlz Got Paws Val has a big heart for animals in need and two cute puppy dogs! You will love her stories and photos from Nebraska and Hawaii!

3. The Run A Round Ranch Report Theresa is awesome!  Where she lives is paradise and she shares a part of it everyday with us bloggers.  She has monthly giveaways of her beautiful artwork.

4. Corner Of Cats Mind Catherine is a hoot!  She shares wonderful photos and must have the most handsome cat in Canada!

5. Serena Bakes From Scratch Serena can't be real!  ha ha!  I say this because I don't know how she cooks like she does.  Everything is from scratch!  I'm not into cooking, but I love to eat!  Every time I visit Serena's blog I leave there hungry...for what she's making. :)

6. Two Bears Farm And The Three Cubs Lisa has everything going on!  She does canning, participates in marathons, makes muffins from scratch, sells on Etsy and while doing all of this she is raising three boys and two are twins!

Oops! I think I have six blogs here...oh well. :)  Enjoy!

Pass the award to five other bloggers (and leave a comment on their blog, so they know they are a recipient.)

Award and Sandhill Cranes Video

Thank you, Cheryl for this Liebster Blog Award!   It means "beloved" or "good friend" in German.  This award is designed to bring additional recognition to those blogs with fewer than 200 followers.  If you receive the award, you should link back to the blogger that nominated you and nominate 5 more blogs.  That's it!

Here are my 5 choices:
Ginny at Let Your Light Shine
Deb at My three boys and a bird dog
                     Mama-Bug's Nature Photos
Val at My Girlz Got Paws
                      Amanda at When You Stumble...Dance...

It was difficult choosing just 5 bloggers because I like them all, but most have over 200 followers or don't accept awards.  These 5 bloggers are all very interesting and have wonderful blogs.  Check them out, you'll be glad you did!

So, hubby and I went looking for those social birds AKA Sandhill Cranes.  We drove back out to the same area that we had seen them before, Orlando's main post office, and had our Flip Video Cam in hand.  There they were across a small pond...so it was safe to get out of the vehichle. LOL!
Here's a short video of the Sandhill Crane family.

Making time to Blog

I'm still here and determined to figure this blogging stuff out. ha ha!  This has been a very hectic time.  It's the last week before my son starts school and we're not finished with our "to do" list yet.  He still needs his haircut and a few more school items....like a $100 calculator for geometry...wow!  High school is getting expensive, maybe they're preparing us for college expenses, lol!  Maybe this weekend will be more relaxing.  I don't know how my grandmother managed with eight kids!  God Bless you mothers out there with 3,4 or more children.

I probably should let my son help me with my blog because I'm sure he knows more about the internet than I do.  I wish I were a natural on here, but I'm not.  Today I've taken some time to look at a few other blogs and I'm real impressed with people's creativity.  And I've learned that there are constantly new bloggers.  So, let's help each other out!  If you drop by on my blog, please say hello and I'll stop by your blog and say hello.  Got to go for now, everyone have a great day!
