It's All In The Wings

My son and I went to a local park to hang out together.  There were a couple of guys down by the water that started feeding the birds.  It was some good timing for us.  Birds can be very graceful and entertaining.
Ducks are always entertaining!
On July 4th 2009 I rescued two Mallard ducklings from a storm drain.  It had been raining
and Mama Duck crossed the street with her babies and two slipped  in the drain.
Some neibhbors asked me to help.  After finally scooping them to safety
I returned them to back to Mama Duck.
The reunion was so wonderful!

I think the seagull at the top of this pic is so beautiful and graceful.

Hubby thought this pic was awesome!

I love watching the birds, they are very entertaining. My biggest problem with them is that they don't like to sit still long enough to have me take their picture. :)

What awesome memories I hold feeding the ducks when I was young, my brother and I loved it.
How wonderful you were there at the right time to rescue those ducks, I think I would have cried buckets of tears watching the reunion.

You captured their flight so well and adore the second pic listed with the Gull.

Darius Rucker sings a song "If I Had Wings". Oh what I would do it I had them.

I hope have a wonderful weekend and GOD keep you all safe.

woo hoo, instead of Swan Lake ballet, we now have Fowl Lake ballet. great shots and what fun.

about our squirrels, just rattle a plastic bag and they swarm out of the trees. I have seen them come and sit on the pic nic table so close I could touch them.
once we took burgers with us out to the beach, we were sitting under the trees at a picnic table laughing and talking and eating our burgers. I wave my hands when I talk and had my burger in my left hand waving it, bob was facing me and he started to laugh, I looked and just as the little rat grabbed at my burger I jerked it back, he was sitting that close, I handed him a French fry and he sat there and ate it and asked for another one, the second one he took up in the tree.

I love watching birds and all waterfowl. You got some fun 'going in for a landing' captures in the first photo. I agree with your hubby on the last one, very cool.

Glad to hear you were nearby and could help those baby mallards reunite with mom. Mama Mallard almost always has her hands full with the little ones and can use all the help she can get.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
