Our Life In Cary

We're really enjoying our new home in Cary!  It didn't take long before the neighborhood squirrels came by to welcome us look for treats. lol!  And as you would guess, it didn't bother me one bit!  They are so smart and so entertaining!
I've actually seen a Bald Eagle in my backyard.  A bunch of crows were chasing it.  He/she landed in the top of a pine tree and talk about gorgeous!  Sadly, it all happened so fast that I didn't have a chance to snap a pic.  Those crows really work well as a team, quite impressive birds.
Son and hubby have been practicing archery, I've been planting flowers and the pups are enjoying their new playground. :)
It's a beautiful day here!  Hope you're day is beautiful in every way!

Happy 18th Birthday Son!

My baby boy is 18 yrs young!  It seems like just yesterday I was carrying him around on my hip and now he can pick me up.  ha! ha!
My parents showed up at midnight to start Kyle's birthday celebration!  Hubby and I bought Kyle a pool table for his birthday and his grandparents showed up with pool table chairs for him as one of his gifts.  We had a great time playing pool into the early a.m.!

Happy birthday my son, I love you.

North Carolina Is Home For Me Again

Hi everyone!  I know it's been awhile and I've missed you all!
The move wasn't easy, but we're finally getting settled into our new home in Cary, NC.  A BIG thank you to my parents that helped us move here!  We love you and are very grateful!  My dad drove a moving truck, hubby drove a moving truck and Kyle and I drove the Navigator with our pups. :)  We had a convoy!  We drove all night long and arrived to our new home at 9:30 a.m..
Kyle and I cried as we left our home of many years.
But, now it's time for a new adventure!

Kyle graduated high school May 9th!  We're very proud and we will be having a big celebration when my parents come to visit again.
I've met some nice people here already!  I'm especially looking forward to meeting Madi and her mom!  They live really close by in Raleigh.  Even though our address is Cary we're very close to Apex and Raleigh, a very convenient location.

I have family that live in eastern NC and I'm looking forward to spending time with them!

I'll be around to your blog soon!  Hope everyone is doing well.
Please keep Chatty Crone and MadSnapper in your prayers!  They're both dealing with health issues.

I'll leave you with the our last days in Orlando and our first days in Cary, NC...now home. :)

A Watchful Mother

I've had many experiences with baby squirrels and their mothers and a few other wildlife animals.  I remember taking care of a baby bird with my dad when I was a young girl.  I've passed the caring and respect of animals on to my son.
One year on July 4th, Kyle was 3 or 4 yrs old, there was a bunny with a broken leg, we scooped her up and Kyle held her all the way to the wildlife center.  He named it Firecracker.  Well, turns out it was a she and she was pregnant.  Her leg healed and her babies lived. :)  Kyle will never forget holding her and saving her.
Hope you enjoy this short video. :)

My 45th Birthday

I'm 45 today and lovin' it!  As long as the sun is shining and the birds are singing, I'm a happy girl!
Does anyone else have a birthday today or this month?  March, April, May and June are our busiest months for family birthdays.

When my hubby and son asked what I would like for my birthday I told them the only thing I want is a chocolate-raspberry cake, made by the two of them.  YUMMY!

This is a pic of me from my first birthday. :)
Now I'm off to enjoy my day!  Hope your day is wonderful!

Is It Really April?!

Hi and happy April fool's day and spring time!  I sure hope everyone is doing well. :)
We've been so busy packing, finding a home, and celebrating all kinds of special days.

On Valentine's Day my son gave me these pretty roses.  Ever since he was a very young boy he would pick me a flower because he said it always made me smile. :)

March 1st was my dad's anniversary of being self employed, 36 years!  And he couldn't have done it without my mom. :)
March 6th my hubby celebrated his 40th birthday!

On March 8th our fur baby, Roxanne-Love, celebrated her 9th birthday!
March 12th was my uncle's birthday!
March 25th was my dad's birthday!
We're also celebrating that we have a new home in Cary, NC!  Yay!!!  It couldn't be a prettier time of year to make this big move.  The pups are very excited because they will have a bigger yard to run and chase butterflies in. :)

It's hard to believe it's already April!   We have another Mama Mallard sitting on her nest in our yard.  She took a bath on our front porch yesterday in a pail of water that we set out for her. :)

The weather here in Orlando couldn't be any nicer, it's sunny and around 73 degrees...just beautiful!  Hope you are having a beautiful day as well!
